Caretaker

Northease Manor School is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Site Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our buildings and estate.

Knowledge & Skills

  •       Experience line managing or supervising a small operational team.  
  •       Experience in organising workloads, setting priorities, supporting staff, monitoring standards and developing team capability. 
  •       Good working knowledge of the care, maintenance and repair of heritage buildings. 
  •       Ability to assess, specify, plan and carry out a broad range of building fabric, structural and MEP repairs. 
  •       Experience supporting minor works, refurbishment or capital projects. 
  •        Good knowledge of health and safety regulations. 
  •       Trade or technical knowledge and/or qualifications. 
  •       Knowledge of statutory compliance areas such as fire safety, legionella, asbestos and COSHH. 
  •       High level of practical competence across relevant trade and maintenance skills. 
  •       Excellent communication skills. 
  •       Experience working in a school, SEND or other regulated environment. 
  •       Understanding of neurodivergence and the considerations in working in a SEND environment. 
  •       First aid training. 
  •       Pool plant qualification. 
  •       Ability to use Microsoft 360 tools. 
  •       Good written communication skills. 
  •       Willingness to complete training where required.
