Teacher of English/Primary
Northease Manor is an independent school for neurodiverse young people who have struggled in mainstream schools. Situated just south of Lewes in East Sussex, the school’s main house is a 17th century manor set in 12 acres of grounds, surrounded by additional buildings and the rolling countryside of the South Downs. The coast is just four miles away.
The reputation of the school has soared in recent years and it has become the school of choice for many families seeking an excellent education and pastoral care for their SEND child. Jobs here are highly sought after, but an opportunity has arisen to work as a part-time teacher in this extraordinary independent school. We are therefore currently seeking a part-time, experienced Teacher of English or Primary Teacher with a passion for teaching English. Our students are often successful in GCSE English, but some will also take Functional Skills or Entry level English classes. Candidates should be able to meet these needs and also have the flexibility to teach other curriculum classes, such as social studies if required.
Main purpose of the role:
- To carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the school’s policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
- To promote the subject area and raise student confidence and self- esteem by encouraging all students’ participation in your subject area and the school day.
