Teacher of Food Technology

Northease Manor School are looking to recruit a Teacher of Food Technology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing school at an exciting time.

Personal attributes










  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or proven experience 

·         Honours Degree  

  • Honours Degree or other post Level 3 qualification in relevant subject  
  • Further Professional Qualifications and Training 

·         Evidence of continuing professional development in your subject(s) area and SEN. 



  • Recent successful teaching at KS2, KS3 or KS4 
  • Evidence of being an outstanding teacher 

·         Evidence of wider commitment to working with students 

  • Classroom/small group teaching of students with SEN or work within a specialist setting. 

·         Supporting students with communication and interaction, social, emotional and mental health difficulties.  

Knowledge Skills/


  • Ability to build excellent trusting relationships, providing high levels of structure and nurture 
  • A secure knowledge and understanding of the concepts and skills essential for success for pupils in your subject. 
  • An understanding of the SEN code of Practice 
  • An understanding of ASD and possible co-morbid diagnoses

  • An ability and willingness to inspire and motivate all students and staff 
  • To have a love of and infectious enthusiasm for teaching and for developing students holistically 
  • To be a reflective practitioner; willing to learn and develop
