The Leadership Team
"Our team is effective, and we learn from each other. We accomplish far more than would be possible alone. We inspire and challenge each other. Any individual's strengths can be exploited, and we support each other to do the stuff we're not so good at. This is an efficient approach to undertaking the task of making Northease the best place it can possibly be, and it feels good!"

My passion is making every day remarkable for children with special educational needs and giving them every opportunity to develop to their unique potential.
Before joining Northease Manor School, I led a school for students of primary and secondary age, with special educational needs in Dallas, Texas. Prior to moving to the U.S. ten years ago, I was an Assistant Head, Assessment Coordinator and lead maths teacher at a large maintained primary school in Kent. I have a Masters degree in education and dyslexia qualifications, as well as leadership certifications. I feel privileged to be a part of Northease Manor's continued journey in becoming the centre of excellence that its students and staff deserve.

James Brampton
I started working at Northease in September 2021, as teacher of Humanities, before taking over as Head of Seniors in 2022. Previously, I have taught in a range of settings, including a SEND school in Hertfordshire, a large boarding school, and a London Preparatory school. Northease is a uniquely rewarding place to work, and I've had so much fun teaching and getting to know the young people here. I am thrilled to be undertaking the role of Assistant Head and have been overwhelmed by the positive response of the Northease Community to our new Positive Behaviour Policy.

"I leapt at the chance to start working at Northease Manor in January 2024, as the Assistant Headteacher responsible for Teaching and Learning, and the Curriculum. I started my own teaching journey as a secondary school maths teacher in a mainstream setting, before becoming the maths lead in a speech and language specialist school. In 2021, I was fortunate to be employed as SENCO in a social, emotional, and mental health specialist setting, where I eventually took on the dual role of SENCO and Head of Maths.I am passionate about learning and have completed numerous qualifications of various disciplines, including a Master’s Degree in Physics with Photonics, a Master’s Degree in Education at Cambridge University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism, and I have recently finished a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Business.Like many of the students here, I have also recently received my own Autism diagnosis, and I look forward to helping others to see the strengths that can come with being on the spectrum. I can’t wait to get to know you all!" -

I am delighted to be joining the senior leadership team at Northease Manor school and am very passionate about the way in which people and systems work.
I am dedicated to the process of continual improvement and believe that there is a solution to every issue waiting to be found.
After completing a degree in psychology, I worked to develop a method for creating person-centred schedules to support people living with neurological conditions - finding ways to empower them and stimulate their minds.
Since then, I have worked in operations and facilities management where I found my enthusiasm for compliance, health and safety, fire safety and building maintenance.
I see buildings as individuals - unique and, like the people within them, in need of care and understanding to know how best to support them. I have a particular interest for creating FM strategy, developing tailored maintenance schedules and fine-tuning procedure to improve the lifespan of assets and to ensure all those who are working inside are safe and happy!
If you have any suggestions to discuss improvements to school operations and facilities - or would just like to meet, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Providing the very best education for SEND pupils is at the heart of everything I do.
Following my graduation as a teacher, I developed a passion for working with SEND pupils. I obtained further qualifications in dyslexia and worked as a SENCO for 18 years within primary schools across East and West Sussex.
I was delighted to be given the opportunity to take up the position as Assistant Headteacher for Admissions and Therapies in November 2024. It has been a privilege getting to know all the wonderful children at Northease Manor and I look forward to welcoming many more families to the school.
